The Merciful Death of Sam Kinison

Sam Kinison, use to drive me nuts. How could this wretched sinner call himself a christian? Raised in the church, a former preacher, then a stand up comedian? Who drank, drugged, and womanized?…..But look at the mercy of God for his children even when sin abounds, Sam’s death was merciful, God’s grace for Sam was shown, through God’s discipline….                            1 Corinthians 11:29-32

"Sam Kinison

Wild Things are not beyond God’s love

“29 For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves. 30 That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep. 31 But if we were more discerning with regard to ourselves, we would not come under such judgment. 32 Nevertheless, when we are judged in this way by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be finally condemned with the world”

So am I saying all those who just say they believe, can party on?  Dope not at all, it looks like Sam had a true relationship with Jesus. His inner self knew Christ, He never denied Christ, He maintained his belief in Christ to save him.  The account of his death, looks like he’s talking to angels or God, I believe their story, because of the deaths of Moses, Ananias, Sapphira and those in Corinth.  Think about it, Moses upset God by displaying anger when he struck the rock, this misrepresented who God is. So…

Numbers 20:12 But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them.”

Moses’s punishment is that he’ll die and not go into the promised land, When we hear promised land we often think “Heaven” why? because it is a metaphor for Heaven.

Where do we next see Moses?  The Transfiguration

Matthew 17:1-3  1 After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. 2 There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. 3 Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus.

Moses was not forbidden entrance to Heaven, His punishment was to not get into the promised land here on earth.

Ananias and Sapphira, did they belong to Christ?  In Acts 4:32  it says “All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.”   So in Chapter 5 the mention of what Ananias and Sapphira did includes them as believers, who choose to sin against the Holy Spirit.  Which is just another sin covered by the blood of Christ, but it was a Sin that lead to physical death.

1 John 5:16-17 “If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask and God will for him give life to those who commit sin not leading to death. There is a sin leading to death; I do not say that he should make request for this. 17 All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not leading to death,”

There is no absolute consensus on what this means. But, most conclude that there are sins that God’s Children can commit which God takes seriously enough so as to end their lives.

Amazing Grace, comes to mind when we understand God’s Love, Mercy, and Patience.

Give glory to God….

This really moved me to tears to see such praise go to God in a public place. Those who were just there shopping, caught in the middle, wondering what is going on. Luke 19 37-40
37 When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:

38 “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!”[b]

“Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

39 Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”

40 “I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”

Our Politically Correct Educators Hypocritically Indoctrinate

The Freedom our Soldiers are fighting for has been given up by our educators…
Do our teachers teach? or do the indoctrinate? Todd Friel makes a great point in this vid clip about freedom of speech, but let me add another point about our politically correct teachers that is so hypocritical of them and their world view. When it comes to the subject of Evolution vs Creation they say “We use empirical science to determine that evolution is true, therefore we will not allow Intelligent design into the class room” So when Pro life Students use empirical evidents (Photograph’s of aborted babies) they are arrested…..Our educators live in a system that allows them the freedom to oppress any world view that opposes their world view. Teachers please teach our kids to think, discuss and learn, stop indoctrinating our children with your world view, Practice what you preach in regards to diversity and tolerance.

Art Azurdia God Saves Bad People

This is classic old school preaching at it’s best…One of the themes that keeps showing up in my ministry of late is that we need to camp out at ground zero… which is to say broken hummility, when we remain dead to ourselves, carry our cross, following Jesus, what problems could we possibility have?

Jesus, is not just for billionaire golfers anymore…Seek him today.

Way to go Brett Hume! What Brett Hume said shocked the world, but does the world realize that we all need Jesus. Funny how the public lifts up a person to idol status then is so shocked when they fall, as if we are all good. We are enemies of God. “For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son.” — Romans 5:10 We don’t repent and trust Jesus so we’re a better role model, we become his because he baught us for a price, for his purpose. Our passion to be a better person is rooted in the Gospel. Jesus, is not just billionaire golfers anymore…
