Where is your faith? God’s word or Man’s reasoning?

This is far more important than many believe, many think it’s ok to just draw lines anywhere they want, but this is so wrong. The idea that we can choose what is to be taken literal or not in scripture plants a seed that over time can completely undermine faith. We need to stand firm on what the word of God says, if we’re persecuted for it, made fun of, and hated…so what, Do you some how think you’ll have faith to die for Christ? But in regards to the age of the earth you cave in because you’ll be laugh at. If you can’t take persecution over God’s word in the form of laughter, how do you think you’ll stand in light of real persecution? No where in scripture do we see an example where compromising God’s word ends up converting unbelievers. Proclaim the truth, stand on his word, stop giving in to mans reasoning and believe what he says.

Mark Spence, there is one Jesus, One Bible, One Truth…

Mark Spence, from Living Waters, demonstrates that many religions have a different ‘Jesus’ they follow. Which Jesus do you follow?
This segment is taken from The Way of the Master TV show, Episode: Luxembourg.

This is a great vid to teach us to listen to those who think they are following Jesus…be slow to embrace anyone who mentions the name Jesus, listen closely to what they say, because many times their ideas about Jesus don’t match scripture. While sharing the gospel I didn’t hear the guy I was talking to say “I do my best and Jesus completes the rest” So I thought he was proclaiming the same Jesus from scripture, but later learned he was a Mormon…Works rightsousness…So pay attention so we can truly love the lost with the truth of God’s love.

Scott Rodriguez of Calvary Chapel Rebukes False Prophetess Dayna Muldoon

2 Thessalonians 2:8-10
8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, 10 and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.

Pastor Scott Rodriguez

Brothers, several have been asking for some backstory/context on these videos. Mrs. Muldoon set her tent up across the street from our church (it is still there until Sunday 5/20.) I received a call from one of our people that some families that attend our church were sitting in her audience. Others were there to pray and share the gospel afterwards with people leaving. They had been accosted by a young man named Devon, (the managers son) on the evening before when he overheard one of our young men talking with someone after the service about the call of Pastor being reserved for men.

I came out at the end of her Saturday night service and spoke with her, and her manager Dennis about their perspective on what had occurred. They felt that they were being heckled. I asked what they were preaching in order to get a better idea about their ministry, and explained to them that we, as a Gospel preaching church, would be extremely sensitive to a ministry that came off as strange as hers. She then claimed to be preaching the same message I described to her: that Christ came in the flesh to die upon a cross for the sins of man; that he was buried and rose again 3 days later; and that people are commanded by God the Father to turn from sin and put their faith in His Son’s finished work on the cross in order to be saved; and finally that there is no other way of salvation. She claimed that this was her message too, but that she also believed in miracles – which I agreed are still done today according to the will of God. I shared with her that if she would give me some materials to look over to her affirm her claims about her message, I would come back the next day and say a quick word to people from our Church about the need to refrain from being disruptive, disrespectful, and to hold any questions or disagreements until after her service to be voiced with her or her leaders. After some more discussion she said that would be acceptable to her.

I came back the next evening. She didn’t call me up as we’d discussed. Had she, I honestly don’t know what I would have said. I sat through about an hour of what I’d classify as normal charismatic preaching quite off-base, but nothing overly shocking. However, there was a transition after her message into various fraudulent acts of “ministering in the “Holy Spirit” that range from her laying hands on people who would respond by gyrating, shaking, screaming, flapping arms like being in a strong wind, knocking over chairs, throwing themselves down (not falling) on the floor. She prophesied over 3 girls that she said were seated where the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit were, that would be getting married in June – she acted as if she knew nothing of their personal lives, but one of them was the attorney for the ministry that I’d met the night before – the other two were her friends. She said angels were there and that there could be voices of angels heard in her music because they followed her wherever she went. Then she scared a 3 year old little girl when she called her mother up – girl in arms, and began laying hands all over her body (the Mom’s).

Finally, I thought it was over, but she walked up to me where I was seated on the front row, and began “prophesying”. She said, “Young man spit your gum out and face me”. I got up (probably should have just walked out), and she began telling me how I thought I had come as a peacemaker, but was really there because God had used the hecklers to get me to her tent because He had something to give me through her. Then she went on and on saying all kinds of stuff, including that I said or thought that her ministry was a work of God, and that she was doing good and trying to help people. That was a lie. I never led her to believe any such thing. At that point I felt I needed to make it clear that I didn’t agree with her message or ministry, and that’s what I tried to do. Sadly I think it appears more as though some guy got in a prayer line or requested prayer and then seized on the opportunity – which isn’t true.

My greatest desire is to see God’s people warned, but I don’t feel I did things perfectly. Here’s why: I knew the right thing to do was to seek my Senior Pastor’s approval, but as a matter of convenience I did not. He is a man of God, and would have helped find a more godly way of approaching this, but in a moment of passion I acted and entrapped myself. Please don’t misunderstand, I believe once in the circumstance the worse thing I could have done is simply remained quiet, but I just feel as though Jesus would have done it differently. So while I stand behind my words to Mrs. Muldoon and would plead with people to flee from any ministry that replaces the Blood stained Gospel of Jesus Christ with a pursuit of miracles, I ask forgiveness of the Lord and my brothers for any way in which I got ahead of the Spirit of God or acted independently. Finally, please know that I’m not the bold man some think I am, I’m a man who is inconsistent and struggles with the fear of man like everyone else – we all desperately need the Cross, myself included.

P.S. I don’t use face book – maybe if people know that my wife can get some sleep.

The Full Video showing “Dayna’s” false prophesy concerning Pastr Scott, concidering she then rebukes him as a devil later

Well done Brother Scott, the events recorded here are a great way to see the deciption of false prophets. Do you know that if you speak for God, you can not get it wrong….
Deuteronomy 18:18-20
18 I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. And I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him. 19 And whoever will not listen to my words that he shall speak in my name, I myself will require it of him. 20 But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or[a] who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.’

Mark 13:21-23
21 And then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘Look, there he is!’ do not believe it. 22 For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform signs and wonders, to lead astray, if possible, the elect. 23 But be on guard; I have told you all things beforehand.

Hellbound the ducumentary…..Get ready for the Spin

Hellbound? Teaser Trailer 1080 from Darren Hull Studios Inc. on Vimeo.

I can see it now, hell aint that bad, don’t worry the church just made it sound that way so it can control you…
Revelation 20:13-15
13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15 Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.
Hell is real, it is not made by the church, its in the Bible, we are to take it very seriously…
Matthew 5:28-30
28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.
The mission of the Church is not to save man from hell, it to set the captives free to worship God…
Philippians 2:10-12
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
So let me make this conclusion long before this misrepresentation of hell is even released. The number one biblical issue that will continue to be reduced by man will be the call for repentance. If Hell is less of a concern, why obey? Party on mankind, after all hell no big deal…
Luke 5:31-32
31 Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
Repentance was a big theme to Jesus…

Does God still judge nations?

Does God still judge nations? My first thoughts on this is No…because it seem to me that once Christ set us free to have a personal relationship with him, the need for a national identities is lost. Ideally if you belong to Christ, you are not a citizen of this world.

Ephesians 2:18-20
18 For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. 19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone,

2 Timothy 2:3-5
3 Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 4 No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him. 5 An athlete is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.

John 15:18-20
18 “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. 20 Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.

Colossians 2:19-21
19 They have lost connection with the head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow. 20 Since you died with Christ to the elemental spiritual forces of this world, why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its rules: 21 “Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!”?

BUT….After Watching this teaching about Harbinger I’m beginning to think God could be still in the business of Judging nations, I in no way think this is rooted in “replacement theology” but in “Patterns” Patterns are clearly seen in scripture:
Isaiah 46:9-11
9 Remember the former things, those of long ago;
I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like me.
10 I make known the end from the beginning,
from ancient times, what is still to come.

I say, ‘My purpose will stand,
and I will do all that I please.’
11 From the east I summon a bird of prey;
from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose.
What I have said, that I will bring about;
what I have planned, that I will do.

So what do you think, is God using Islam to bring judgment on America?

Somebody is wrong on the internet…

This little cartoon really hit me square between the eyes…Yes I love theology! I love doing my best to get it right for God’s glory….Has this love gone to my head at times…you betcha…but God continues to pull be back to humility. He will complete the good work he started, of that I am sure.
So late at night I and many other believers spend countless hours correcting bad dortrine…Why? because we love the word of God and want the Truth known, correctly even on the internet.

Don’t go ask Alice, she’s left the Church.

Meet Alice Spicer, Wife, mother of two, and a self proclaimed Minister of Reconciliation. I mention self proclaimed, because she has left the church. This is an on going trend in our culture, if you don’t like what your Elders are teaching in your church, create a blog, so your opinion is heard.

“I lost my job because I chose to proclaim the truth about the Victorious Gospel of Jesus Christ on my personal blog. Here’s the kicker – I worked in a church office and the pastor fired me because he didn’t want me to represent the church when I held such views “publicly.” So the only way to keep my job was to hide my candle. No thanks! I am now a full time student – multimedia design.” – Alice Spicer

Most likely due to the teachings from the new universalist found on the Internet Alice has left the Church….the Church? the Bride of Christ as it is called in the Bible.

Be very discerning about what you read, watch, or listen to online. This is the information generation, information over load. We must either learn how to apply the laws of logic to what we take in or know fellow believers who know how to break down the information for us. It is key to belong to a local church. Get to know the pastor, the elders, deacons, and other members. In a Church you’ll find that the members are on different levels of maturity, this is a good thing. The Church is a community where the wiser lead the fools…so to speak, Foolishness is how we start out, we are not born wise.

Proverbs 22:15
15 Folly is bound up in the heart of a child,
but the rod of discipline will drive it far from him.

It is with great humility and patience that we pursue God. Always be feeding on the word of God, join a bible study, join a home group, host a home group, do everything to learn about God. The key is knowing what God has already said. The Church has 2000 years of forefathers that have laid down teachings that can be trusted. The Reformers covered many issues, from many different sides, so read their work, because many online teachers who claim they has some new angle on scripture have already been proven wrong 500 years ago.

Ecclesiastes 1:9
9 What has been will be again,
what has been done will be done again;
there is nothing new under the sun.

I’ve enjoyed learning on the Internet. I have had my faith shaken more then once, by some convincing presentations. In time, I held firm to the scriptures that so clearly showed that no matter how well the information was delivered, didn’t make it true. Truth can only be found in God’s word the Bible, trust it, for it has stood the test of time.

Closing thought, in the video Alice posted, she compared the Internet to the printing press during the time of the reformation. The big differance is anyone with a computer can get published….that’s all the more reason to know your bible…Peace

The False teaching of Gerard Beauchemin “Hope Beyond Hell”

To keep the reader on track I’ve color coded this blog:
Black – Scripture Blue – Bob Daly    Red - Gerard Beauchemin
I wrote an E-mail to Gerard Beauchermin after he rejected a comment I posted on his Youtube vid that promotes his teaching “Hope beyond Hell”  The Comment and this blog is dealing with his mis-understanding of Matthew 5:26.   There are many other twists he does to reduce hell to just a temporal place, but this blog will only be dealing with his twisting of Matthew 5:26.  In Context Jesus is speaking about Murder starting in Verse 21,  He then teaches how from God persective even if we call some one a “fool” we’ll recieve the same punishment as if we comimtted murder because its the anger in our heart that God is judging.  Then the focus shifts to living in peace with your brother (fellow believer) in verse 25 and 26. In Gerry’s video and book he teaches that the prison in verse 26 represents hell.  if your honest with the context it is clearly debtors prison.
Gerard Beauchemin
If you read in context what is being taught here, it’s about the fact that we are in no position to be unforgiven or to be unforgiving towards one another.
Matthew 5:21-26
Murder
21 “You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘You shall not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’ 22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’ is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.
Since Man is created in the image of God, His likeness. The term brother or sister is used here Jesus is warning us not to insult fellow believers, forgiven by God in the same way we are forgiven.  It’s a wake up call, about how we are to treat each other. The mention of hell shows that from God’s perspective our angry towards another carries the same punishment as murder.  Hell is hell, it’s mentioned over and over by Jesus and viewed as a place to be avoided at all costs, to lighten up its negative effect is to run the risk of comforting the unrepentant sinner on his way to Hell, because you “Gerry” didn’t want to upset them.
23 “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, 24 leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.
The concept is to seek reconciliation, over and above giving your gift to God, our peace with our brothers and sister is that important to God, we will be viewed by God as  hypocrites, seeking forgiveness from God, but then not living in peace with our Brothers and Sisters, because of pride.
25 “Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court.
In this Parable, adversary is another person, not God, but Jesus uses this parable to illistrate God’s judgement on sinners, who think their in a position not to forgive.
Do it while you are still together on the way, or your adversary may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison. 26 Truly I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.
Note: Could anyone earn pennies in Jail? No! Can anyone earn pennies in hell? No! Jesus (on the Cross) said it is finished, completed, is there any work of rightousness we can proform that would be excepted for our sin debt? No!  (Jesus not infrequently mentions the peril of judgment is a theme in Jesus’ teaching to stress the fact that these instructions are not optional for men and women who are citizens of the kingdom of heaven. To neglect or ignore what Jesus says has awful consequences as indicated by the emphatic phrase “you will not come out”.  In fact He uses the “double negative” (ou me) which strengthens the denial and says in essence, “no never”, “not at all”, “in no case”. These are strong words that all need to heed… preceptaustin.org )
Matthew 18:21-30
The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant
21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” 22 Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times. 23 “Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24 As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand bags of gold was brought to him. 25 Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt. 26 “At this the servant fell on his knees before him. ‘Be patient with me,’ he begged, ‘and I will pay back everything.’ 27 The servant’s master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go. 28 “But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred silver coins. He grabbed him and began to choke him. ‘Pay back what you owe me!’ he demanded. 29 “His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him, ‘Be patient with me, and I will pay it back.’ 30 “But he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt.
The prison reference here is a debtor prison. Debtor imprisonment was common during this time, it was a system set up to collect debts.  In debtor prison, the prisoner was expected to remain in prison until someone pays his debt.  In prison, one cannot work a job an earn a paycheck to pay off his debt.  This means that the prisoner would remain in prison for the duration of his life, UNLESS someone were to pay his fine on his behalf.   The prisoner is completely dependent upon another.  In the same way, sinners are condemned to hell without a way to pay for their sins.   The unrepentant sinner will remain in hell until the his debt of sinning against an eternal holy God is paid.  This is impossible for the sinner.  The only way out is to have your debt paid for is by Jesus, who took God’s punishment for you.  The time of repentance is now, because in no way can false teachers, like Gerard Beauchemin reduce hell to a period of time.  To take our limited understanding of eternity and try to understand it with our concept of time may not even be applicable, since God created time along with matter and space in Genesis 1 . In other words time may not exist in the here after.
And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment” (Heb. 9:27)
This statement leaves no room for appeal, no second chance, do not delay, forgive or your not forgiven.
In both Matthew 5:21-26 and Matthew 18:21-30 the context is clearly dealing with forgiving one another. Payment in both parables refer to money not time.
Gerry Please, in all the love from God I beg you not to console the unrepentant with this teaching of yours, it strikes too close to what the sinful man wants to hear.
2 Timothy 4:3 “For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.”
Please be warned that I do this out of love for you and those who will be effected by your mishandling of scripture.
In Christ’s Love Bob Daly
Here is Gerry’s response:
Dear Bob,
You are a very kind man who seems to genuinely care for people as does
Christ. You have touched me with your kindness and gentle way.
I agree with you in Spirit. You are right that we should not console
the unrepentant. I strongly believe in judgment. You have not convinced
me that your interpretation of Matthew 5:26 is correct. You see Bob,
Hell is not forever and Christ makes that absolutely clear. To teach
that is to violate Scripture, the Spirit of God in Christ’s words, and
the still small voice of God which speaks in our conscience. That is not
to say that Hell is not to be feared. But God is greater than Hell and
will not be defeated. I pray that you will read my whole book
prayerfully. You can read it
free online at HopeBeyondHell.net.
May God Bless you dear brother.
Thank you for your genuine concern for me and for all men.
I respect you highly.
Richest Blessings to you,
Gerry
Gerry,
I just read my letter to you, it was a rough draft, I corrected it so it reads much better, sorry to have wasted your time before, could you please one more time reread this, becasue your book truly seems to undermind the gospel.  Peace Bob
Dear Bob,
Thank you again for your kind email. Can anyone earn pennies in jail you asked? That is not the point of the story at all. It is not pennies that the Lord is really referring to, that is only a metaphor to make the point that we are all accountable to God and we will pay for our sins if we are not forgiven them.  Jesus paid for all sin, and the demands of our  Holy God has been fully satisfied. John 1:29 reads, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.”  But God retains the right to apply that forgiveness on His own terms – when and where He so chooses. When Jesus died on the cross He died for every person on earth. So, Christ became sin for us, that we might all become the righteousness of God in Him. Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God. And no one can say, ‘Jesus is Lord” except by the Holy Spirit. At some point all will repent and accept CHrist. God is not limited to this life only to save anyone. Why have we put God in a box? Who are we to tell God he cannot save people after they die? What passage of Scripture tells us that? Hebrews 9:27, is not relevant as it does not define judgment at all. All God’s judgments have a good and remedial purpose, they are not forever. The Biblical evidence for Hope Beyond Hell is overwhelming for those whose eyes the Lord has opened. I pray that the Lord will open your eyes.  The point we must understand dear brother is that God’s judgments are not forever – that’s all. There is nothing in the Bible that teaches that when we understand the correct meaning of the Greek and Hebrew terms. Please read all of my book, from cover to cover, prayerfully.
After you have done that, I invite you to email me and we can set up a phone chat to discuss any questions you may have. May the Lord bless you as you seek to serve Him with all your heart. Thanks again for taking the time to help me understand your view point. Please understand, that I held your view point most of my Christian life, so I fully understand what you are trying to say.  You have no choice but to interpret Matthew 5:26 like you do, because your theology forces you to.
If you send me your address, I will be glad to mail you a copy of my book for free.Again, God bless you. Let’s not talk further until you have read my book, OK? This way, you will know what I truly believe and why from Scripture.
Blessings to you,
Gerry
