Funny this was not what I excepted, I thought we would have had some people say that “no one had ever told them about Christ”. But to my surprize everyone said that they had an encounter with a random stranger who told them the gospel. Now of course our little poll only involved about 6 people, from about 30 that we asked. the other 24 didn’t want to talk to us…(sad but may-be those we’re the ones that hadn’t had a random stranger tell them the gospel) The 6 that did all said about the same thing. So what do you think, is the great commission, found in Mathew 28 still being obeyed 2000 years after Jesus commanded his followers to go an make disciples of all nations?…..Oh and how about the Jewish Man? that blew me away.

Monday, June 21st, 2010The Lost Doctrine – Paul Washer
Tuesday, June 15th, 2010Watch this and notice how much better this addresses what we observe in the church today. Members thinking that they have been saved, but continuing in a life of sin, as if walking up to the front of a church once saves you….wake up its an ongoing work of the Lord. The stats we hear are no differant inside or outside the church, many who confess to be Christian simply are not. Work out your Salvation with fear and trembling, continue to seek after God with all your might. Chirst gave his all, do you think all you have to do his pay him lip service?
England’s new laws are shutting down the spreading of the Gospel

The Great Commission
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
In the past England took this to heart, they sent out missionaries all over the world. but times have changed, the church in England is very weak, it has been under attack for many years. For us in America it’s hard to grasp a “State Church” but that’s a big part of what is known as Christian in England. England is a Christian Nation by its own law, America was set up never to have a state run church. this difference has help American churches to remain true to God’s word, and not be watered down by political correctness or any other idea a monarch wants to impose on the church for his benefit.
My Family and I just spent 3 weeks in Enland visiting Jacky’s family in the Norwich area. In our travals we visited many Churches, Some small with tons of passion for the Lord, others like St Pauls in London where the sevice was all tradition. To see the massive old cathedrails with all their treasures is amazing yet a bit sad knowing that the people of England for the most part have stop worshipping God.
We brought thousands of Bible tracts with us, so as we went along we handed them out, and had some one on one conversations with some of the English people. I can’t say that their reaction to the gospel was much different to that of Americans that I’ve witnessed to here in the states, but in some cases they were quicker to brush it off as a fairy tail. I asked a few who identified themselves as atheists if they knew of “Richard Dawkins” the famous Oxford college professor who has many in America buying his book that not only tries to say God doesn’t exist, and promotes a truly hateful message about a god (the Christian God) that he thinks doesn’t exist. To my surprize no one I spooke to has heard of him. That would make me conclude that the English are more agnostic already and have no need to buy books that promote something they already believe. So England now sends out Atheistic Evangelists to proselytize Americans into the new religion known as Atheisism.
Watch me in London attempt to preach the gospel, I’m new to open air preaching, it is reallly a challenge to keep peoples attention and delivery the good news. In this atempt I do get shut down before I could really make the point I wanted to about the fear of God, but prayfully God will speak to the hearts of those who heard.
The Postmodern Nightmare… is Jesus Christ
Friday, June 4th, 2010
For almost two years a small group from Tahoe Community Church has been going to different locations to share the gospel. Most Wednesday’s we can be found at Lake Tahoe Community College, on this occasion we joined “Daniel” a Reno taxi driver, who spends his own time and money to share the gospel at the Reno Farmers market. Daniel sets up a 10X10 both at the market, he had us had out bible tracks, and share the gospel one on one to those who passed by our both. Daniel did a great job telling these two young women the good news. watch and learn, and join us if you would like to share the gospel here in the Lake Tahoe Area.

Good Friday at the Lincoln mermorial
Sunday, April 4th, 2010
I blew it, I should of just preached, like they did in acts…There sitting in the shade of Lincoln Mermorial sat about 200 people, that looked like they were just waiting for the measage…ONe thing I’ve learned is that many if not most in America havn’t heard the Gospel, We assume everyone by now must have heard it, but in my travels most seem to have never clearly heard the simple measage. learn to share the story of the cross to the lost before its to late.
Biblical look at Westboro Baptist Church’s view of the Nation of Isreal
Wednesday, March 24th, 2010WBC (Westboro Baptist Church) didn’t come to Lake Tahoe Community College March 19 as mentioned on their website. Because I thought they were coming to Tahoe I started writing a Series of blogs comparing WBC’s views to the Bible. The first one dealt with their view on homosexuality, This blog will take a look at their antisemitism. The WBC takes a very foolish position regarding the Jews, They clearly show their lack of understanding when it comes to the Jews and their role in the gospel.
Watch this vid, note how they blame the Jews for the death of Christ as if it wasn’t God’s will for Jesus to suffer on a cross…
The WBC shows their foolishness here by blaming the Jews for the death of Christ, as if it wasn’t God’s will for Christ to die. God’s plan for the saving mankind started in he garden with Eve,
Genesis 3:15
15 And I will put enmity
between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and hers;
he will crush your head,
and you will strike his heel.”
This Messianic prophecy declared war between the two kingdoms. Some of Eve’s descendants would choose one side and some the other, God would use a weak Woman to crush the serpent’s head. Through Eve and her seed, God would redeem the world. He would bless it so great that those who are called by his name would be called “sons of God.”
God”s planned death for the Messiah, The Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, for told in..
Isaiah 53
7 He was oppressed and afflicted,
yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before her shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.
God never Changes… Malachi 3:6-7 6 “I the LORD do not change. So you, O descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed. 7 Ever since the time of your forefathers you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you,” says the LORD Almighty.
God chose the Jews to carry out his plan to reconcile man back to himself. The Jews have had an on and off again relationship with God based on how they would turn their hearts towards God or away from him. This is still true today, God shows both wrath and love towards the Jews, which at closer look is only love, because his wrath is shown to draw his people back to himself.
The WBC continues to spew hate, true God dose hate, but his hate is rightous…. Pasm 5:5 The boastful shall not stand before your eyes; you hate all evildoers. His hate is equally aimed at anyone who continues to sin, not on any one type of people group, but on those who do not repent and trust what Christ did on the cross. The wrath of God has been satified, by Christs blood, so he no longer hates those who trust in Chisrt’s act of love on the cross.
God’s justice demans a blood attonment, it’ all of our sins and God’ love that killed Christ. The way the WBC states that the jews killed Christ shows that they don’t understand, attonment.

Tahoe Local Alex Areces, Serving God in Haiti
Thursday, March 11th, 2010Dear friend and family:
On Monday, March 15th I plan to make a second trip to Haiti with the purpose of doing my part to save a collapsing Healthcare industry in Haiti. I need your help to make this happen.
My first trip in February was life-changing. The loss of 250,000 lives, property and livelihoods would appear unprecedented. Healthcare snap-shot.
• 85% of Haiti’s healthcare facilities were damaged or completely destroyed
• The remaining hospitals are running at about 40% capacity of pre-quake
• Haiti already had the lowest hospital bed per capita than any other western hemisphere nation before the quake.
In February I was asked to participate in a specialized team of medical and non-medical professionals to re-open a closed Ambulatory / Primary Care facility in a suburb of Port-au-Prince. Logistically this was a monumental. Access to building materials or anything for that matter after the earthquake was difficult. Our team managed to procure a generator and rewire the building restoring power. We installed a pump and water tank and piping that brought running water to the building from a manual well, beds were disinfected, the pharmacy rebuilt and built a patient reception area. Patient flow, process and medical records were created and implemented. After one week of hard work we started seeing our first patients, at about 60 per day.
Upon the completion of my work, I went to visit other facilities for benchmarking processes in Haiti, pre-quake and post quake. This activity brought me in contact with several hospital owners and administrators getting a real sense of what their issues are. In the short-term it is stabilizing buildings that are still standing (making them safe), making payroll for Haitian staff (cash flow), developing new income streams for long term sustainability and policy development to transition from free healthcare to something more sustainable in light of the thousands of foreign medical professionals and donated meds. Right now, there are 700,000 Haitians living in tents all around the capital. The rains are already beginning to affect the health of those living in tent cities.
My desire and prayer is that work and ministry experiences God has given me over a couple of decades in developing countries along with self study of the Healthcare Industry since late September 2009 will be used on this next trip and give Him glory.
I will be going with DELTA ministries and your tax deductible donations will go directly in supporting my ability to stay as long as I can. I’m looking at several weeks.
There are two ways you can support me on this venture. Prayer and giving towards my work in Haiti.
While in Haiti you can best reach me via email at aareces@yahoo.com . I will also have my cell phone with me and it’s best to reach me in the evenings at 917.657.4482, AT&T has been gracious to provide a special roaming rate for me. A Biblical Look at the Westboro Baptist Church
Tuesday, March 9th, 2010
WBC (Westboro Baptist Church) will be coming to South Lake Tahoe to Protest Lake Tahoe Community College’s presentation of THE LARAMIE PROJECT a docu-drama about the 1998 hate-crime murder of Matthew Shepard, a gay University of Wyoming student who was brutally beaten by two young men, tied to a fence, and left to die.
As you know, WBC became the most hated family in America by protesting at Military Funerals. This accomplished their goal of using the media to get out their message of Hate.
This is a very challenging issue to discern. In a very black and white way the WBC has more things biblically right than they do wrong. So I want to very carefully divide the true statements from the false ones using scripture as the final judge. I will only deal with their views and actions towards homosexuals in this blog.
What The Bible Says….
Anyone who has heard of the cities of “Sodom and Gommorah” knows that they were notorious hot spots of homosexuality. Gen 19:5-8 “and they called to Lot and said to him, ‘Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may have relations with them.’ But Lot went out to them at the doorway, and shut the door behind him, and said, ‘Please, my brothers, do not act wickedly.’” The Greek word in the New Testament for homosexuality is literally “a sodomite”. Many are trying to redefine what the term “sodomite” means. (A term that has remained unchanged for 5000 years, even today– “sodomy”) The city was clearly destroyed by God because of homosexuality in the story of Gen 19, even the New Testament clearly states exactly the same thing in Jude 7 “Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example, in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire.” Any sinner should always remember that the God who commands us to love our neighbor is the same God who will cast any and all unrepentant sinners into the “eternal fire” (hell). Here are more Bible passages that deal with homosexuality, Lev 18:22-23 “You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.” Lev 20:13 “If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death.” 1 Cor 6:9 “Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals” 1 Tim 1:9-10 “realizing the fact that (civil) law is not made for a righteous man, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers” Rom 1:26-27 “For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.”
If the homosexual community chooses to practice homosexuality in privacy, that is their free choice. But let such persons know for certain that the Christian Bible condemns all such practices and God will judge them unfit for the kingdom of heaven if they continue to practice and openly promote homosexual sex.
WBC Twist….
Psalm 5:5 (English Standard Version) The boastful shall not stand before your eyes; you hate all evildoers. This is the passage the WBC loves to twist, YOU (God) hates _______ This is how they justify their hate. WBC Inserts “Fags” instead of “evildoers.” WBC mainly mentions homosexuals, not adulators, thieves, liars, blasphemers, or murders, any of which could be inserted. From God’s view there are a lot more adulterers than homosexuals. This group implies that homosexuals are more evil than other sinners. One could say that the WBC may love homosexuals more than the others because of their effort to warn them of hell. Jonah hated Niveveh so he ran away and didn’t warn them about the wrath of God. Jonah really wanted to see Nineveh’s destruction; he was anticipating their judgment, not their repentance. So the loving thing to do is to warn all sinners that God is just and will punish all who have broken His law. All agree that the way the WBC warns homosexuals is in a very hateful way. The Bible calls us to love… “If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.” 1 Corithians 13:11
The Wrath issue…
From what I’ve heard the WBC teach, it is safe to say that they think homosexuals have been abandon by God, as we see foretold in the book of Romans. If we are living in the time of God’s abandonment, someone could conclude that those sinners will not repent, but that is a judgment not for us to know. We, the Church, are simply under the same orders to proclaim the gospel to the lost. Not to judge that some types of sinners will not repent.
Jesus encountered many self righteous Pharisees. He showed His dislike towards their arrogant holier-than-thou attitude many times in the gospels. I would think it would be fair to say that Jesus would show the same contempt towards WBC. The bible teaches humility, mostly because we have nothing to boast about. We are all sinners in need of being delivered from the wrath of God.
If the WBC followed the Bible, they would go on mission trips, not protesting trips. They would be in contact with the Tahoe churches, and work with the churches. The reason they don’t contact local churches for support is that churches follow the loving example of Christ’s humble sacrifice, not WBC’s hateful, condemning, hopeless message of wrath.
The South Lake Tahoe churches love homosexuals. We want homosexuals to come to the cross for the same reason we, in the church, came to the cross…forgiveness, healing and eternal life. There is a great ministry that has had success in helping homosexuals to repent from their sinful lifestyle. Check out Exodus International.
