Think about it, the fact that Christianity exists, is a very strong argument that Christ did resurrect. So I took this idea to the chairlift to see if it this line of logic owned the high ground or not. Watch and see that it does, Jeremy, resorts to the postmodern response “But you see I look at it” This reduces the conversation to subjective truth not objective, He couldn’t logically answer how we have Christianity today so he had to lean on his own truth not ultimate truth.
The tabernacle tour was a fantastic surprise! The Presenter “Allison Marshall” did such a great job connecting Christ’s life and teachings to the tabernacle symbols. Jesus did come and tabernacle with mankind, John chapter 7 and 8, He fulfills the actions and elements performed in the tabernacle. He is our High Priest.
Hebrews 2:17 Therefore he had to be made like his brothers in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.
It’s awesome that many of God’s first chosen people have heard Allison’s presentation, I can’t help but think they would walk away felling jealous because of how God has continued without them. So lets pray for the Jewish people who chose their tradition over the truth that Jesus came to die once for the sins of the world.
Romans 11:11-12 (ESV)
11 So I ask, did they stumble in order that they might fall? By no means! Rather, through their trespass salvation has come to the Gentiles, so as to make Israel jealous. 12 Now if their trespass means riches for the world, and if their failure means riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their full inclusion mean!
I don’t film witness encounters much any more, it is a great way to get people talking, it also helps as a coach, you can watch it and see the things you could have said that would have made the encounter more God glorifying. Micah was very open to talk, I could have talked longer with him in hindsight. As you watch this think of what you would have said. After the football game many arm chair quarterbacks come alive with all sorts of opinions of what should have been done.
When I watched this the biggest, “I wish I would have said this” was when Micah said there is going to be a vegetarian only sacrifice system in the future for Israel, but here is what the Bible says, Exodus 30:9-11 (ESV) 9 You shall not offer unauthorized incense on it, or a burnt offering, or a grain offering, and you shall not pour a drink offering on it. 10 Aaron shall make atonement on its horns once a year. With the blood of the sin offering of atonement he shall make atonement for it once in the year throughout your generations. It is most holy to the Lord.” and Hebrews 9:21-23 (ESV) 21 And in the same way he sprinkled with the blood both the tent and all the vessels used in worship. 22 Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. 23 Thus it was necessary for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these rites, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
So take a peek, think of what was good about the witness, and of what could have been better, and above all pray that Macah will continue to seek the truth, and be open to Jesus being the messiah.
Daniel and his family join us once a year to worship, when he’s here on vacation, he takes time to preach on the streets. Daniel loves people, we would call him an evangelist, and say he has a gift to evangelizes. According to a survey done by Bill Bright a few years ago, only about 2% of professing Christians share their faith. Do you believe what the bible says about those who face God on judgment day without having their sins paid for by Christ’s act of love on the Cross? Evangelist’s believe, but it’s not really a special gift they are exercising that they have and other believers don’t. We don’t say God has gifted some to hand out food, we say that we are loving our neighbor, it’s love. So if we’re not out sharing God’s love by proclaiming the Gospel, then we’re not loving our neighbor. To evangelize, is to love, so consider going forth with the love of the gospel story, because it’s command to us all to go and make disciples, and disciples make other disciples.
Pray for those who heard and were given the Gospel on the 4th of July…
Join us in reading the book of 1st John on the Fourth of July weekend! Gather some Christian friends, find a public place with good foot traffic or where people gather (picnics, parades, parks, fireworks displays, etc.), climb up onto a box, ladder, or bench, and read the scripture aloud. Then, using the text you have read, transition into a gospel presentation. It’s easier than you think, and 1st John is a great book for it. Then come back here, and let us know how it went!
16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
The suffering continues, How much Longer will you wait Lord?
I reposted this after it took me so long to find it the second time I wanted to watch it. I recognize the voice of Missionary John R. Cross from his “Road to Emmaus” Bible study. This is more common then you think, knowing right and wrong makes us guilty, our heavy conscience longs to be forgiven so we create religions to appease an angry god. When we hear what God did for us, it makes sense, it fits, so some people groups have an understanding clearly shows the correct value for the gift.

The times they be a changing…I have a kind of love hate thing going on here…Love the bold in your face word proclaiming God’s love, but when it comes to the expression of sins being committed it’s a bit too Bold…I think….Read Ephesians
5 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
3 But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints. 4 Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. 5 For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not become partners with them; 8 for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), 10 and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. 11 Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. 13 But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, 14 for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says,
“Awake, O sleeper,
and arise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you.”
15 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, 19 addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, 20 giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.
