Pray for those who heard and were given the Gospel on the 4th of July…
Join us in reading the book of 1st John on the Fourth of July weekend! Gather some Christian friends, find a public place with good foot traffic or where people gather (picnics, parades, parks, fireworks displays, etc.), climb up onto a box, ladder, or bench, and read the scripture aloud. Then, using the text you have read, transition into a gospel presentation. It’s easier than you think, and 1st John is a great book for it. Then come back here, and let us know how it went!
16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
I reposted this after it took me so long to find it the second time I wanted to watch it. I recognize the voice of Missionary John R. Cross from his “Road to Emmaus” Bible study. This is more common then you think, knowing right and wrong makes us guilty, our heavy conscience longs to be forgiven so we create religions to appease an angry god. When we hear what God did for us, it makes sense, it fits, so some people groups have an understanding clearly shows the correct value for the gift.

The times they be a changing…I have a kind of love hate thing going on here…Love the bold in your face word proclaiming God’s love, but when it comes to the expression of sins being committed it’s a bit too Bold…I think….Read Ephesians
5 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
3 But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints. 4 Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. 5 For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not become partners with them; 8 for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), 10 and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. 11 Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. 13 But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, 14 for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says,
“Awake, O sleeper,
and arise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you.”
15 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, 19 addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, 20 giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.
Sproul and MacArthur explain praying to Mary – Can you go to heaven if you pray to Mary?
R.C. Sproul and John MacArthur take questions from the audience at Ligonier Ministry’s 2012 West Coast Conference
While witnessing on the UNR campus I happened upon a table where Planned Parenthood of Reno was having the students give away free condoms. So I decided to ask some questions. The only idea I had, was to see if I could get the young lady to agree that God’s plan for marriage is the best.
It is so sad to see how the Teachers/Advisers control the information that is heard on campus. The full interview was over 17 minutes, because the adult advisor interrupted when she didn’t like where the conversation was going. In her mind I’m sure she thought that she was protecting the students, but the fact is she was protecting the lies of abortion. She went around to the other students and told them not to talk to me…wow talk about not being able to handle the truth….
I ended up respecting her wish not to talk to the students, (Because I want to continue to minister on Campus) but regretted not doing a better job proclaiming the gospel to Ashley and the others, so that’s why I’m doing my best to get this seen by the students at UNR with the hopes that they repent, trust Christ and get plug into a good church.
